hey all,

so i have the side to side temp issue with my 03 and while on a trip a couple of weeks ago my ac also stopped blowing although the ffan was going full blast. i read that there is a tsb that relocates the ac sensor on the evaporator to prevent freezup. anyone know the # or where i can read up to date psb's? nov of 05 seems to be as new as there are here.

Is the side to side issue only with the Laramie trucks?

I've got one of the earliest SLT trucks and my AC has always worked flawlessly.

cool thanks for the info... ...

i had a ac guy come to the house last night. with the guages installed it read 18-20 psi on the low side. in vent temp was 65-67 deg in all vents w/88 degree outside temp (the 2 left vents blow way harder than the others though). so we started putting additional r-134 in ... ... . he used the guages and a digital scale to watch how much was added. @ 1 lb 8 oz we stopped and the pressure was just under 40 @ idle and the vents were blowing @ 50-52 degrees it was noticeably cooler. i hope this fixes my freezing problem.

Read the LONG AC thread on Diesel Truck Resourse. Theres a BIG question about the AMOUNT of freon to get the system to work correctly to get decent temps from vents.

I had the no a/c 2003 3500 problem, had the system checked, it was low, they topped it up and it's been great.

Drove up I-95 last week to Raleigh from Beaufort, truck temp said 101 to 104 from Pedro's to Raleigh, a/c did fine except for one short spell. I hit the snowflake button, waited til the air coming in was a little warmer, and pressed it again. All was well. Sure was nice to have it working, this summer has been a good test.
