My truck usually will have max boost around 26psi, but now it will go to 26 sometimes and only around 20psi other times, I replaced the map sensor and it is still doing it. I do have a boost fooler on it, do they go bad? If they do I'll go ahead and replace it. Other than that the truck runs fine.

I had the same thing happen to me & it drove me crazy. I was testing for leaks & found that the intercooler boot on passenger side was loose. [closest to turbo] just an idea.

Have you tried pressure checking the system w/ air? Possibly your wastegate is sticking. Maybe spray it with penetrating oil & see if that helps.

wastegate

yeah my wastegate is stuck, but it is stuck shut, I tried freeing it up last summer and couldn't even get it to move. I probably could if I took it off the truck but I haven't been that motivated. I was trying to get it working because I really don't need quite as much boost as I am getting because my exaust gas temps are a little too low.

if your egt's and boost are low then it looks like a fuel issue..... check the IAT clean or replace and try an APPS re-set... ... . you could have a VP getting weak... ... keep an eye on fuel pressure.

boost

I was talking about the higher boost keeping my EGT's lower, the fuel pressure is good. I'm still thinking it may be the boost fooler that is bad because it will go up to 26 psi and then the next time I take off it might go to 20 or a little more but then it starts dropping back down to 20psi I was just curious if anybody else has had a problem with one of the boost foolers.
