Another conversion...

Just bought a Yanmar L100 engine from a dealer on E-Bay for our company's hot water washer. It is a 10 horse air cooled engine. Works GREAT, especially since it replaced a 13 horse gas Honda. Now the burner and engine take the same fuel. WHY do manufacturers not think of this???? #@$%!

The engine is NEW and UNUSED. It had never had oil in it. It was set up for a military conversion on a generator unit. Had no air cleaner and had some kind of bellhousing, shutdown, preheat and starter system on it, apparantly for a stand by generator setup. I took all that off and just use it as rope start. It runs great. Nothing was wrong with the Honda, I am just a diesel nut and diesel fuel is safe to store, use, refuel and smells better!
