well… last night they got our 96 dodge from the drive way. A damn work truck, Utility bed and all. Guess they probably got it for the tools and well get it back in a couple of days burned to the ground. Things even got Champi Fence written on side of it…

Good to hear - maybe just a joyride. Put a camera hooked to a video recorder on it to catch the b**tards next time.

havent seen it yet but no dout there over 5 G's of missing tools. id love to catch them in the act. my hardest choice would be picking a gun...

now it makes more sense

not funning you, sorry to hear that - but it makes more sense after

you mentioned the tools, no self-respecting thief around here would steal

a DODGE just for the truck - now a Silverado left alone for a few minutes...

guess they just have no taste in trucks.

yea its not a truck they would get very far with. . ill post a picture when we get it back. but its the only one iv ever seen like it... welll just got the word that all the tools are missing and the dash is torn up with the cd player is gone. and all the keys to our shop and a couple of other trucks... . they already stole 2 chevys on the same street, one was ours. and the other guy herd them and came out shootin put two bullets in the hedrest of his own truck... but didnt hit anyone.

for reals... . problem was he shot 3 bullits. and the third went into the house next door to us... it wenr through three walls. berly missing a newborns crib by a few feet. . kinda scary. makes u think twice about grabing a gun. probly make me go for my shot gun instead on my 300 win mag... :) sad thing is we live on what i though was the good side of town

well looks like they got about 90% of the hand tools in the tool box and the power tools. were to stuped to figure out how to open the top boxes. left the air compressor and tank. left the tow straps and hitches. stole the CD player and the 2 way radio that only works on our private channle???? wtf they think there ganna do with that.

JUSTIN

Justin glad you got your truck back. Sorry about the tools. Both the the truck and tools can be replaced. I would be mad as hell if some fool stole my stuff, but not half as mad if some yahoo put a round through my house. A high power rifle for home defence is a poor and dangerous choice. I think he should have his guns taken away from him. He is not responsible enough to own a gun. A thing like this is all the anti gun freaks need. His guns should be sent to me, I still have some space left in my gun safe :-laf

no he wasent using a high power rifle. he was using a something like a 45 mag. hand gun not sure though... i was simply saying that makes me keep my shot gun in reach and not my highpowerrifle... i belive he was charged with a felony. not sure if he was convicted and what now as he soon transfer away from the lemoor naval air station. and like you i have plenty of room in my gun safe. it was kinda sad... the damn thiefs ran over his foot as he was trying to fight with them, and he shot at them.

Sounds like self defense, but putting a bullet through a house is a BAD thing! Maybe need to load up with the frangibles. Unfortunately, most places he would lose in court because he was most likely being threatened bodily until he went to them. In Nevada, even with CCW, you can only fire if YOU feel YOU are in danger, not your property.

Glad to hear you got it back so soon. I just went through the same thing. got the truck back 2 1/2 weeks later, wrecked, and $8000 worth of tools gone. Just got the truck back from the body shop yesterday finally. Ins. Co. is finally going to send me a check for $1100. They said because the truck wasn't stolen from my home they wouldn't pay more. Also They wouldn't pay for work related tools only personel tools. What a scam the ins business is.

I'm sorry you had your stuff stolen.

The real problem with the insurance industry is scams against the insurance companies - it costs us all everyday. I'm sure your policy very clearly states what is and isn't covered. Insurance is such a great thing.

The frangibles will only brake up if they hit somthing made of mettel. The frangibles that I tested went thrue 3 2x4s and 3 plys of sheet rock befor hitting a steal stop plate to brake up (. 40 cal. beretta). best bet is a halow point stoped after 1st 2x4.

Sory to here about the tools. I had a bag stolen out of my truck in my drivway. My house isurans payed for the items not my auto. (althou they are thrue the same CO. )
