sled pull in Ripon, CA

:D :D Just talked to my better half and its a go long as some long high paying run does'nt come up. Want to see what this old flatbed can do. YE HA!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Don

Sure wish I could make it, if only to watch. I havnt done anything new so the numbers are about the same but I enjoyed it so much last go around and this time I wouldnt have anything else to do. Oh well maybe next time and good luck on some BIG numbers this time

John

John,

I guess I better bring a jacket this time around ... Iwont have yours to wear all day and then have my 4 year old rip/tear the pocket ;)

I really need some 3. 54 gears to compete in this high HP stuff.

Don~

Well I have this date blocked out on my calander. Hopefully my wife will see clear to keep it that way!!!!!!! I will be driving up Saturday morning. Any other south side guys going, e-mail me if you want to caravan.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys. I don't think I iwll dyno, just stand around and drool    .

So I say," Don, you GOT to think about having twins", and he thinks I ment turbos...

So Don will you heve these yet? I think it would be neat to dyno first, then put your twins on there, and then dyno again. Jsut for fun.

I don't think I'll make it unless this is what happens. :(

Andrew

Andrew,

I am going to do twins, but the budget as of now does not have it in the till. Im looking at some radical changes to my induction system. Not just turbos and such. Think; Banks sidewinder type stuff.

I will not have the twins on by March 16th. Wish I could though.

Im still experimenting with all kinds of stuff. Injectors, turbos, cutting cylinder heads all up, building intakes, etc.

As far as March goes... I will be running all kinds of fuel. You will laugh your butt off when you see this thing light it up or melt down.

I have found quite a bit of power I was missing last time around. Prolly picked up at least 40 so far and more in the works. Im gonna flog on this thing pretty hard in the next few weeks and get it right. Still learning stuff Bro.

Don~

Shrimpy, I am probably going to go, 90% sure. I live in Austin, so if that's the way you would come through, I'll tag along with you. I've got getting lost down to an art, so it would be nice to follow someone else. :) Give me a PM if you would like to meet up in Austin or somewhere close.

Brian

Hey Brian, I replied to your P. M. before seeing this. After re-examining the map, we could possibly meet in Corsicana. I will be away from my computer later today and for several more after that. I will be checking in though.

MMMM,,Could there be a ride instore for the Big Red rattlebox out of the east????,,Could be... ... ... .

This is shaping up to be a big event like the last one we had. I could not believe the amount of trucks we ran through there last time. It was about 30 or more and this time we have more Fords and a couple of Duramax powered Chevies.

Some of the Fords were tough last go round. Three were over 400HP and one went 480. These were on the propane drug though. Dodge still held its ground and we beat them on #2 only and propane. Cord went 523 with a little bit of propane. The weather was so cold it was correcting the HP numbers down on us for SAE. Some figures were lower by over 50HP between SAE and uncorrected. Maybe we should run the next event at uncorrected and see what the trucks actually make. I was robbed of about 40HP on that SAE software that is not even written for a Turbo Diesel.

The Ford guys that set thisone up are a grerat bunch of fellas and we will all have fun.

The more the merrier. Lets hope the weather will cooperate and be nice.

I will bring a big propane grill to whip up some dogs or burgers.

BYOB or whatever you like.

Don~

Hey Shrimpy, sounds like a plan, if you can still make it when the day rolls around. :) Corsicana is just a short jog off 35, so that sounds fine. I'll send you a PM to give you my number so you can call me if you want to make plans.

Don, can't wait to see your truck run, even though it's undervalved and missing a gear. Just kiddin', you could probably spank me at half throttle. :D

Brian

I am trying to make it up also. It will be good to meet everyone. Can't say what my truck will do, but it will be interesting to find out.

edit:

If anyone has a map to speedworks, please PM it to me. I go through dallas and Lewisville frequently, but I'm always headed to God's Country and try not to stop before I get to Oklahoma. :D :D

Hey Peter,

Can you bring some kolaches (sp?) from West, Texas? Just kidding.

Go north on I35 to Dallas and toward Denton. Exit on Hwy 121 Business and go east 3-4 miles. You'll see Holford Prairie Road at the 3rd light (I think) and you'll see a Fina gas station. Turn right and go about 1 mile and you'll see speedworks on your right.

Hope this helps. Someone correct me if the directions are not right.

Thanks,

Charles
