ya know, it just never ends... I'm becoming very familiar w/ UV leak detection dye...
yesterday I put a new hydraboost unit on to replace the leaker... not that bad of a job, but I also installed a steering fluid cooler, and about 3/4 of the way through the job, the sky opened up on me big time!
so not only was I covered in grease/oil, but then I was drenched.
about 5 minutes after I finished getting the air out of the system, it stops raining. typical! LOL!
it's been leaking so much, I've caught myself about 10 times today looking out the window to check for any drops on the concrete. it would appear that the power steering leak is fixed (for now)
I've been chasing an AC leak for a while now too... a few weeks back I lost the charge... so I put new seals and hoses on it and charged it up and it was all good for a couple weeks... then all of a sudden, gone... charge it up and add more UV dye... gone.
charge it up AGAIN and go drive around w/ the AC on. get home, look for leaks. NOTHING!
on a hunch I go out and look at the passenger floorboard... wouldn't ya know it, a big pool of flourescent compressor oil! LOL! thank goodness for rubber floor mats
looks like I get to replace the evap and heater cores this week...
another day, another beating...
but man, when they're running right, there's just nothing better!
