I tried to get a new steering shaft coupler from Dodge since the rebuild kit didn't fix the problem, and they told me its discontinued... I guess the only option now is a borgeson shaft. The part # is 52006912 just in case anyone happens to have one laying around.

It's about time they obsoleted that part, good riddance to a bad design. My Borgeson shaft has been on my truck for 14 years, no problems.

Niki, I have one you can have for shipping. I just took it off. the coupler was replaced 4 years ago and is tight. I thought it was bad, but it turned out to be something else.

I am leaving on a trip, but can mail it in Aug.

I'm well aware of how much better the Borgeson is, I have one in my 92. That one is the one that uses the factory rag joint on top, are the 2 u joint ones better?

Is the steering box on the dodge 03 and up the same kind that is wearing out

on the old trucks?

No. Starting with the 2nd gen there is a totally different design. Yours should stay good for a long, long time.
