Ok, I did a little searching, and found lots of people talking about straight pipe sound, and stacks and all that, but my real question is does anyone know of sound files of diffrent systems? I know it is all relative, with the recorder, speakers etc, but so is someone just saying "its not objectionable" or "sounds good to me". Mainly looking for a straight pipe clip, and "performance" muffler clip, or anything else that is out there. Thanks for any and all help.

Been thinking about exhaust lately, ok since last sept. Since I would most likely piece my own together anyways, I could reuse a lot of the stack parts in an under the truck exhaust and make a short term stack experiment not that costly (4 inch outside bed mount). Or at least I tell myself that.....

Oo.

Here's a good idea... put a 4" straight piped exhaust on and make your own recording! :D

J/K. I do know of some 3rd gen straight pipe sound files, but none of 1st gens. Unfortunatly, I don't have high enough quality recording equipment to record mine...

I have dual 3" exhaust, but it's life it short... ;)

IMO: straight pipes are not for the faint of heart, if you are worried about annoying people with your loud truck, then go the muffler route. My truck is so friggin loud that people wheel around and there jaws drop when I'm hotroding down the strip in town. :D

Videos, sure

Hey, I will take whatever your willing to send out. So a video would be cool, that way I/others could also see how it looks on the truck. Thanks for the offer Steve. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Okay, I have some video of it right now, but there isn't much to see since it was dark. I'll get some good pics and videos in a day or so. I'll have to email the video, so PM me if you want it.

CB, even a muffler isnt insurance against loudness. I'm debating another muffler or going the rest of the way with a tailpipe. Guess it wont make any difference if the pipe ends under the bed, whether you have a muffler or not. :D

I'm going to have my g/f take a pic of my dual exhaust in action today if the wind dies down...

My pipes really hose out smoke! :D That way when I'm on a 3-lane, I can smoke out both sides! :D
