I just installed the XL SS 4" Magnaflow exhaust from Rip on my truck. Wow this thing is quiet for a 4" exhaust. Very impressed with the fit and finish of the product. Install is a breeze. Rip give me a great deal on the system and it was at my home in two business days. Thanks Rip and thanks Magnaflow.

love it

You will love that exhaust! It is quiet, but it will really growl when going through the gears. Rip is great, and I am very pleased with my Magnaflow! I have had it on for about 15,000 miles now with no complaints. :)

I have not noticed any drone. There is a spot at about 2100RPM that I get a little drone (only at cruising speed). But for me 2100 is about 78 mph, and I can't afford to drive that fast! I love the system, and would certainly do it again (from Rip of course).

78mph at 2100, what kind of rear end do you have? What about when you shift through the gears? I regularly go to and past 2100 when shifting through the gears, as most of the time I'm loaded. I am also looking for a good 4" exhaust, but I do not need the drone. Please let us know your experience in different driving situations.

I have bigger tires with the 6 spd and 3. 55 rear end. 78 mph is based on math and memory from when I put the bigger tires on. I figured if I set the cruise control at the posted speed limit then I am not going fast enough to get pulled over. I do not notice a drone of any kind while shifting. It just makes a nice deep tone. I love it. I would not be happy if it had a drone. Rip has some ideas on fixing the drone if the drone happens to you.

Thanks for posting, that what makes this site great. Rip is really nice person, and we exhange PMs, seems he knows a lot about exhausts, and probably I'll get my system soon. I just don't want to end up with a system that I hate, and have to spend time and money trying to fix, and improve. I thas to mount behind Jacobs e-brake without issues too.

I have 4. 10 6spd. HO QC SB and stock tires. Towing at 65-70 pulling up a hill there is some noise or drone to the system. In the front of the truck it is not that bad, but my wife says that in the back it is loud. Of course she has said my truck is loud, even when stock.
