Finally-after close to 6 months of procrastination, scheduling and various other problems I got my South Bend in! I went with the OFE-so far it's everything it was said to be! Way lighter pedal pressure than stock, and a smoother engagement than the stocker! My stock clutch always had a minute chatter-nothing you could feel so much as hear in the engine note when feathering. Not so with the OFE! Will take me a little retraining to getting used to driving now-the stock clutch engaged really high on the pedal where the OFE engages closer to the floor like it should. Now I just gotta get a few kilometres in to get it seated so I can unleash the COMP on 5x5 and see exactly what I've got here now!

The install was not a lot of fun-I did it at home on the floor of our shop. Word to the wise-don't try to handle a 5600 with one of those transmission adapters you can buy for your floor jack! :D That added an extra day to the project-had to rent a proper transmission jack to handle it. Pretty much wasted 1/2 a day or so as well by the time I ran the flywheel to town for refacing.....

Thanks Peter for such a great product! Hopefully by Calgary in July I'll have enough power to work it out properly!

I had a shop do mine, I have the OFE also. I was told like you to do like 300 miles to break it in,

Well If you are wondering how good these clutches are, I did that truck pull in Pahrump. It is in the videos under events. Mine is the bronze dodge with the shell.

anyway, I did 232' and then on a higher weight rating, did 176' never slipped at all!!!!

I am sold on these clutches big time!

By the time I was done Eric I wish I would have paid a shop to do it-if there is a next time (I don't think there's gonna-although everything wears out in time and I plan on putting a ton of klicks on this truck!) that's where it'll be going. Itemizing my bruises tonight-I have 10 on my right leg, 8 on the left one, couple on my left arm, 4 on the right, as well as numerous cuts on my hands-tend to get wounded just a shade when I get into hard-core wrenching! :D Important fact is it's done and working great-put a little more seat time in today and everything is tons better than stock!

Can't wait to get it seated so I can fire some more power at it!

I now have about 1000 miles on my 13-1. 25 Con OFE. After talking with Peter I decided the 13-1. 25 was the way to go for me instead of the 5spd. clutches he had available. My clutch seemed to chatter a bit for a couple hundred miles but it is as smooth as silk now. I am very happy with it. Great product and he took the time to explain the differences between all the different options I had due to having the 5spd.

PS I guess I better change my sig now.

Cost me 150 to get mine put in. I have a little over a 1000 miles on it and like it more all the time. I also had to kind of relearn shift point but it was worth it. In a couple of weeks I will be pulling the 5er. Going this weekend to the farm with the 5x14 and a couple of 4 wheelers for the biggest load so far.
