In looking through the archives, there seems to be a lot more questions than answers to my problem. 2 1/2 yrs ago I put a rebuilt VP on my '99, Bosch injectors, and Air Dog with a hose to bypass stock filter. Worked perfectly for a year and a half. Didn't drive the truck last winter for about 4 mos. I took it out of storage this spring and left it sit for half hour and it needed cranking for about 5 secs. Been running it hard this summer for about 20k miles and it keeps getting worse. . Hint-After sitting for an hour or longer, I crank it for about 5-8 secs, it almost starts, dies again, and a short second later it starts-running perfectly normal immediately. Not a dirty joint anywhere in engine compartment, fuel pressure jumps up to 14psi as soon as I hit the key, then drops to 0. I tried disabling the pump before hitting the key as well as after it pumped up pressure-no luck. That little hiccup it makes-anybody clue me in where my problem is??

Put a test lite to the pump , to make sure the power stays on , if it goes out then just go up stream till you find the problem .
