Turbo Tim,
Don't get me wrong, I love my truck, in fact I just spent over $250 getting a wood trim dash kit and a dash cover from Geno's even after three years of ownership. But now, it really puts a huge 'knot' in my stomach when I wonder if it's going to start up or not while vacationing in the woods towing my trailer.
I just parked it in the campground on Thursday and was even afraid to start it for four days in case it had had it's 'last' start Thursday! (And I thought about it the whole time which ruined my relaxation) But on Sunday, since it was cold, it started right up. Go figure! Even now, when it's cold, it starts right up, but when hot, it won't start for several seconds.
Then, on the way home, I was even afraid to shut it off 'till I got almost all the way home after driving two hours. I even left it idling, with the A/C on, when when we stopped part way to eat at a restuarant on the way home Sunday. And then, when I finally shifted into 'drive' to go the rest of the way home, the stinking truck 'died!' Then, it refused to start for over a minute or two of cranking!(This is definitley not normal) I thought the fuel injection pump had finally died! But it finally started with me mashing the go pedal!
This piece of %#$... , sorry... , I mean this lovely truck, is now staying at home because I am tired of paying tow bills. Either I will eventually fix it here myself, or it will just sit, as long as my employer continues to pay for my payment!
