I have a non-intercooled truck in need of more power. I have read that only the Lucas injectors fuel more than stock. If so, where do I get them CHEAP and how much more power will they add?

Power

If you have done all you can to the pump and turbo. Call Piers

(604-853-9396) and he will explain the injecter set up for the early and late first generation trucks. Also he will have what you meed, I have worked with him on a few problems and he is very helpfule. He also has a web page that is interesting.

www.PiersDiesel.com. Hope this helps.

I would try Big Don for the best price on injectors. Do a search for his information. Make sure you have gauges though to watch the heat.

1990 CTD low on power

Thanks for the help on the injectors guys. I already have the pump turned up so much that I have low speed stop screw backed all of the way out to get it to idle. EGT is already an issue. It will hit 1500 deg pre turbo easily empty. I put a straightpipe on and that helped a little. On the turbo, I still have the stock exhaust housing but I changed the compressor wheel & housing to a H1E. That brought the boost from 36 to 41 psi at the manifold. I ASSume an intercooler and possibly a smaller ex. housing (i. e. 12,14,or16cm2) is the only cure. I guess im expecting to much from this truck since the truck I had before was a 2000 24v with an adjustable PM3 & DD2 injectors. It had no problem pulling my 20 ft trailer with my pulling truck on it. Sorry for the long post, any help would be appreciated.
