Hello All,

As you can see this will be my first post (more of a test), that is if I've set everything up correctly. Anyway very excited to finally be a part of the TDR. Stumbled upon TDR maybe two years ago and have been reading & learning ever since. Your posts have saved me a significant amount of $. My truck, "Snowflake", is a White, hence the name, 1983 Dodge crew cab W350 that I transplanted the drive train from a 1992 inter-cooled CTD / Getrag into. This is my first diesel & I am addicted.

Good to be here. Great site

Welcome!

This is my first diesel too. I love my truck. This place is chock full of great people who know tons of info on these wonderfull trucks. You won't regret joining.

Welcome, pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable.

Ask any questions you need to, and jump in when you're inclined.

This is a great bunch of guys in here, and the'll go out of their way to help, and to celebrate your successes as well.

Welcome to the best forum site on the TDR.

You may notice from people's signatures that BOMBING

is like alcoholism,in that it is a progressive desease, only

a whole lot more fun!!:p :p

Welcome aboard! This is the ONLY place to get and give CTD info. I owned a '91 that I ran a long time and eventually sold and moved into a gas truck. I tried 3 gas trucks and couldn't figure out why I wasn't happy with them (a 318, a 360 and a V-10). Finally a realized they they weren't diesels, so I bought the '01 I have now, and drive with a smile once again!:D

Welcome...

I agree one of the best forums in TDR! I had a F-250 for 14 years, I've experienced more satisfaction in three months with my CTD Ram. You'll find a wealth of information and great laughs here too...

You guys sure know how to make a person feel welcome. Thanks for all the kind words. One of the reasons I joined the TDR was everyone seems polite, knowledgable, & willing to help. I've been reading this fourm for so long I feel like I know you floks. I was a little concerned about posting here in the first place because my truck is technaically not a first gen but the engine is. It wasn't until I noticed that there were several other that have done something very similar to what I have that I decided to become a member.

Thanks again for all the warm welcomes & I sure by hitting you guys up with some questions soon.

Ohhhh, now wait a minute here... ... "because my truck is technaically not a first gen but the engine is... "

Just cause you got the 'Ole henry bar, if it aint in the original wrapper you loose 5 bonus HP... . ;)

You're going to need a special hall pass for this one... ... group discussion here guys..... :D:D

Okay,..... your in... . :D

Bob.

Okay, now that I'm in :) . I have a question. I not sure if I should start another post or just continue on this one. If this is the wrong place I apologize.

To the best of my knolowedge the engine is stock. The pump doesn't appear to have been adjusted. The injectors are what I am not sure about. They "look" like the original injectors. The reason I ask is when under a fair amount of acceleration, 3/4 plus to the floor, the truck will leave a fair amount of black smoke. Not to the point that it will black out an intersection, but enough to make the guy tailgating me to back off. That part is . The smoke is easy to control. How can I tell if these are the original injectors with out removing them? Is there a number I can look for?

Again sorry if I should have started another post.

Thanks,

P. S. Whoever put the spell checker on here can have the 5HP I lost in my last post.
