Best $35 I have ever spent!!

Hi everyone. Just got my 96 and I'm very happy. Now I know why everyone loves these things. They're just plain fun to drive. I can't wait until I get a opportunity to tow with it.

Welcome aboard. You'll get to know these guys and gals rather quickly, especially the ones from the Northeast. There's a whole list of us in this region, and I'm sure more of them will eventually get their $. 02 in. What has your truck had done to it modification-wise?

To be honest I'm not sure what's been done. This is my first diesel so I don't have anything to compare it to. The exhaust looks pretty big. I haven't measured it yet but it looks like it's at least 4" in diameter. It runs good and seems to shift good. I'm not sure what to look for.

I just picked it up last Thursday.

Thanks for the welcome.

Btw, are there any shops in CT that know about the KDP thing. I've called a couple of shops and none have heard of it.

Thanks.

Well, as for the KDP thing, there's a good article in the newest issue of the TDR magazine (Issue 40). I assume you should be getting it pretty soon. As for a jig, just click around, as there are some pretty good threads pertaining to this. I'm no expert here, so just stick your head in under the 12-Valve forums and you should find your answers. You say it shifts well, I assume it's a 5-speed then? If you click the "User Control Panel" up at the top of the screen, you can add a truck profile and signature so we can help you even more in making your rig what it can REALLY be ;)

Welcome aboard!

There are a few members who have done the KDP here in CT. I believe JLEONARD has done this. He may chime in here.

We are always getting together, so look out for information on our next gettogether.

Thanks for the great info guys.

I wish I could get away for that dyno meet. But with three young kids, I'm lucky just to get on the internet once in a while :(

But at least she let me get the truck and keep my motorcyle :)

That Jannetty Racing looks pretty impressive. I think I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks.

Btw, my truck is an auto. :)

Thanks for the greetings guys.

It's good to hear that there are people in CT :D other than me.

Btw ToolMan, how do you like the tires. I was thinking of going with the same size. And did they affect your braking power much. Thanks.
