Another Newby

Well, I'm another newby, to be added to the ranks of the rattlin ramers.
I've had my ram for 4 weeks now, and I really like it. #ad

I've not had any trouble with it; other than the 6 speed being hard to shift, once in a while. I've always driven a stick shift, so it should work out in time and miles.
I do have a couple of questions, that have been on a lot of posts.
(1) What gauges are best? I think that the VDO's look like the dash, and I like that. What about others? Someone had a post about install instructions; but I cann't find them now. Can I still get them?
(2) I would like tube steps, that go to the rear wheels, for access to a tool box. I've seen them in a magazine, but have never actually seen any. They were made by Rino. Has anyone seen them. Any other ideas?
(3) I'm getting 16 mpg in town and a 40 mile round trip to work and back. I go over about 12-14 overpasses, one way; so the cruse is getting a workout. I've been trying to keep the speed around 65; but I really like to listen to the rattlin sound. Is this about right? There is about 1200 mile on the engine now.

Bob welcome on Board! Have you tried the search function on the top of the page... some times it takes different key words and several tries to get what you want...

Also it is better if you ask the Gauge and step questions in the Products part of the forum. .

If you don't find the exact information you want E me and I will try to find the information you need... .

Welcome aboard Bob. Load that Ram up and break it in right and your mileage should go up. On gauges, I went from the analog to the SPA digital and really like them.

I also am new to the board. I put a post on gauges several days ago on accessories. Many good responses with sites to view and buy. Alot of good info. I have always used VDO, but wanted other ideas from members. Go check it out.

Warn 4x boards. They are flat on the top plenty strong and you can easily pull them off if you want the extra clearance you go playoff road.

I really like my gauges from TST. The quality is high and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. My mileage has been around 14MPG in town. I just sent you an e-mail with gauge install instructions.

SPA digital gauges are the best, check out this site for further input into the gauges, I have put these into five trucks so far and their performance is flawless http://www.performancediesel.net
