ok, all done, the powermaxCR is all one and hooked up...

three connections on top, crankshaft, camshaft, and map censor. .



i started it up, and all looked good, BUT check engine light is on... hmmmm. .



FLOOR IT: did you have any check engine light that you maybe had to reset?

ps. i have not had a chance to give some power. . but i will tonight on the way home
 
Its not unusual that the check engine light comes on. Just cycle it, start, drive ten feet, stop the engine, start, etc. and continue to do this 6 times, believe me it will go away with amazing results. Its just Dodge's way of spanking you, this came from a Cummins factory rep, and it worked on my '04, so give it a try.

6 times ?!?!?! -- i started it 4 times so far, and i am up to level 5 on both, and WOW! i am really loving this thing,



ALSO --- the truck died at a stop light once on the way to dinner

BUT started right up ??, whats up with that ???

the codes are P 0341 and P 0633



what are those? the 0341 is crank shaft censor, but what about th 0633 one??

hmmm... well, i did add a SENTRY KEY immobilzer...



wonder if that is the problem? i may have to do in and re-enter it. .



and the other was the cam censor... not crank. . it was REALLY hard to get to... maybe i hooked it up wrong ?

how can you tell when you run it out of fuel?
 
I have had a rough idle at a time or too, then it cleared up after I shut it off and re-started it. I have thrown the crank sensor code twice but my box is and earlier program. The one re-leased has been changed 6 times. Mine comes on the lower end WAY! hard More TQ at lower rpm's. Thats some of the reason they have change the programing is to make it not so hard hitting on the bottom end. I hear YA, the camshaft sensor hook up is TOUGH!

Tommy,On the lower levels it is ok on the big end above level 7 it runs out of fuel. You know it because it starts missing. On 5x5 it will shutter the converter in lockup with a small amount of throttle. The thing pulls great!Can't wait to get the injectors in!
 
Tonight I had mine on level 9 and TQ at 7. throttle is TOUCHY! and I watched my fuel pressure as to not let it get to low as I was controlling the throttle and all I can say is that this baby will MOVE!

My egt's are way better,last night I raced a 6. 0 that had a juice on it . I had my egt de-fuel set at 1400*, and the power set at 7 and TQ on 6, it never reach the de-fuel point. OH, when we started the race we were going around 30 mph and at the vry first we were together for abput 2 sec and then I started to pull him HARD! This was with my converter lock up clutch slipping too.

When we slowed down he pulled up by me and had this shocked look and shook his head and smiled!:D

i am going to grab a DRB today and clear the codes and hope they don't come back...



otherwise i will be driving to TST for some one-on-one troubleshooting... this chip is not as easy to "just" remove and send back for replacement

i called mark and he said I mistakingly got a semi-prototype harness with 1 too many ground wires. . SO i yanked the one he told me too, and the DRB cleared the codes. .



AND... ... ... ..... All is good, now... i will report if it comes back tonight
