As it seems a lot of people are doing, I have also contemplated twins..... but have a few questions. Can anyone provide some more insight on some issues?

I have a buddy with a 12 valve who is going to put an HX55 on top of his stock HX35 (i believe?) turbo... . and has been told by a reputable diesel shop that he will see good results.

My question: What model turbo is stock on an '05 truck (HY35?? I know I've got the electronic controlled wastegate, but can't remember the turbo model and if it's different than the 03's, which I have been told have mechanically controlled wastegates)? I tried searching the forums but got a ton of different threads that had the exact phrase I searched for... .

Also, is there any chance of me being able to add a dual turbo setup using the stock turbo as the "small" snail?? With the mods listed in my profile, do I even begin to have enough fuel to support such a setup? I don't see too many people running my combination of mods on here... . and I can't decide if it's because everyone has gone more extreme or if they just have poor results with my setup. Am I going to see eroded injector nozzles due to too high of injection pressures?? HELP if I am! Please let me know!

Thanks in advance for any insight!Oo.

Thanks for the heads up! What about fueling... . ? Anyone have any input on my fueling mods? Are mine weak? Are there eroded injector nozzles in my future?!

In the near futuer I'll be looking at a turbo upgrade (probably single at this point... maybe the Phat Shaft that was mentioned in Issue 57 of the TDR) and the 90 hp injectors from DPP... . I'd just hate to be running an abnormally high rail pressure. Sounds like I need to be looking a gage no matter what. Thanks for the input!

Nathan from MPI is the one you want to talk to. He specializes in building custom twins and has done MANY kits using the stocker on top. The guy is a perfectionist and knows as much or more about turbos and twins than anyone. His website (just contact info for the time being) is Maximized Performance Inc. Here's some pics of his work on my truck...

That'sa NICE set of twins! How versatile are a set like that in the regard of changing stuff later, like top or bottom charger(s) I know they have different openings and exits for the different chargers, wish there was some chart around so I could learn a little.

Anybody around here can dig up a chart like this except that it lists openings and exits?
