Last summer I was able to scab a bunch of parts off an 01 3500 CTD, 2wd. Included in my pile are the helper springs. I aim to put the helpers on my 2500 4wd.

Are the spring packs modular? To just stack the helper set on my factory springs (and 4"spacer blocks) it looks like i will need 15. 25"-16" u-bolts, WAY longer than any of the ones I have or can seem to find so far.

How long are the ubolts on a 4wd 2500 with factory helpers' (or "overload" springs)?

If the parts im putting together dont match a "factory" recipie, I found source for custom bolts, they upsize the bolt size to 9/16" for that length... .

Any thoughts?

Unless you are running heavy most of the time I think you may be unhappy with the overloads slapping the stops.

I only put a few thousand miles a year on the ol' goat anymore, and half that is dragging somthing, so I have to answer that with either "mmmmm, probly not" or "I'll live with it".

I want to see if there is a stock u-bolt I can get for thet set up, or do I need to custom order.

There is an oem u-bolt for that set-up but it may be easier to get them made up at a spring shop, they will also do it one size bigger in diameter for a bit of added safety
