Here I am

Another sad Ford Story....

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Why are my options ford on TDR?

How do twins work up?

Long Post about a Blown Engine (rod) and Ford's not covering it - Very interesting - and it continues to amaze me the mental gymnastics these folks are going through to defend their purchase and the product. Every one of these long stories of failure reads like they should be on Dr Phil or Oprah!

And BTW - there are still people over ther calling them Ford Cummins:

"screw them. if you really are stuck w/ the bill, don't put another 6. 0 in. instead call Ford Cummins and they could drop a new Cummins in that booger for probably the same price as a new 6. 0!"

That still stinks considering you spent lots of money on the truck. DC would do the exact same thing except our Cummins motor is built MUCH better and has huge connecting rods. .

I wonder if the ferd guys are going to still say, "size doesn't matter?"

Ah, so that's what the DieselStop is for...

The DieselStop must have a different mission statement than the TDR:

"Well let me chime in my thoughts here, every thing you read on this site is ALWAYS going to be negative hence the reason this site exists, to help you out with your probs. by others experience. You will never hear about the non problem rides BECAUSE THEY ARE HAVING NO PROBS! "

I actually enjoy reading the good news stories, tales and adventures on the TDR. But it is nice to know that they know about "the picture":

"Has anyone ever seen the size of the connecting rods in the V-8 diesels compared to the Cummins? The picture I saw showed a GM 6. 5, a PSD which I assumed meant 7. 3, and the 5. 9 Cummins. the rod for the Cummins was bigger by about 10-15%. I've gotta believe that there is a finite amount of stress you can put on the V-8 design Navistar is using before it will fail, regardless of whether or not it's a diesel or a gasser. "

And that no matter how screwed up they appear, there is always hope:

"amen. . I just traded my 2004 6. 0 on a Dodge Cummins. Ford reallllly made a big mistake by not proving this engine. They are losing loyal Ford truck owners. "

I'm sure they have a different mission statement. . Heck, those guys are happy when they spend 40K+ on a new truck and they're able to go 20,000 miles without an problem... ... . They must think denial is a river...

If you keep reading over there you will see the 7. 3 IDI guys picking on the 7. 3 PSD and 6. 0 guys and a lot more of them post about trading into a Ram.
