I just got the skyjacker 4" kit for mine. I ordered the replacement rear springs for it, the rears are 6" with a 2" block to get rid of the biggest freaking lift block I've ever seen.
Be prepared to wait awhile for it, my front springs are still on back order. They must custom make the springs for these things. I can't imagine why:-laf
if i get the 2 inch kit for my 93 d250, will i have to do the pitman arm, drag link, and sway bar? also, i couldnt find any prices on the skyjacker website.
My parts truck had a skyjacker 4" on it. My truck had broken leaves on 3 of 4 springs. I am halfway through the swap. I hope to finish it within the next week or so. The rear springs with 6" of arc and the 2" block are installed. The front is still low and the truck looks like a stink bug. :-laf
One think I don't like is the fact that the factory 6" lift blocks had an overload pad on them that hit the bumpstop at full compression. I now do not have that protection and the rubber bumpstop is completely useless now.
Comments / ideas on that????
I am a SRW 350 and am thinking of putting a turnover ball in the bed for occasional use with a 32' gooseneck with a 14 k backhoe on it.
On the bushings. The PO drilled out the skyjacker bushing and pressed in a stock bushing sleeve. It looked cool, but when the parts truck took an impact (hence the parts truck) the front bushings didn't fare too well being thinned out that way. I think it will be stronger and last longer without the sleeve and just running the bolt directly on the bushing. I will use plenty of dry lube on the bolt first when I install it.
2" you won't have to do the pitman arm or drag link. I've had two first gens... A '90 with a 2. 5" Skyjacker lift, and a '92 with the 4" Skyjacker lift so I'm speaking from experience.
