Another Smarty Jr. Question

We drove from Franklin, NC over the mountians (max 3500 feet above sea level) to I-40 and then on to Heiskill, TN just north of Knoxville on I-75. I forgot to re-program my Smarty Jr. from economy to towing, so we came the 155 miles towing a 9000# trailer. I use the tow/haul and OD lock out on the transmission, and a couple of times, on hills dropped to 2nd, all the time maintaining 1900/2000 RPM. The ehaust gas temp only went up to 1100 degrees even on the hills. Truck ran good, no temp problems in 85 degree ambient temp. The fuel mileage was outstanding at 15. 8 mpg - - normallly get between 11 and 12 mpg w/Smarty set for towing.



Question is will towing in economy hurt anything or are we safe - - this was the first time I had done this in the 3 years we've had the Smarty.



We leave for Pennsylvania in the AM

I have towed 9k tt once also on economy with my 5600 and gained 2+mpg over best previous using tow setting over same road.
