Ordered a VB for the '95 from Bill & Stefan about a month ago. (transmission was/is stock and had had a overhaul about 15K ago. 115K on clock now. ) Just installed the VB this past weekend. Only problem with the install was aligning the parking gear shaft end with the shift arm on the VB. Start to finish about 2 1/2 hours elapsed time. First test drive was a little 'lumpy', shift wise, until I got the fluid level up where it belongs. All shift points are where they belong both normal load and WOT. Shifts 1 - 2nd & 2 - 3rd seem a little more positive than with stock body. But 3 - 4th and TC lockup are 1000% better. Lockup is instanteous, whereas B/4 the change out lockup was in the . 5 second range. Never had any slippage concerns previously, so no improvement is appearent 'seat o' the pants wise'. Does appear that I have a ~50 degree rise trans temp. at hiway speeds. Previously I would run ~115 degrees and I now average out at ~150 - 165 degrees (no towing yet). Not supprising with an increase in pump pressure.
All in all a very pleasant 'out of box' experience as far as installation and performance improvements with this DTT product.
