Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) another trans question

i have a 2000 automatic and plan to get the edge comp in the not so distant future, are there any trans mods or the like that i should add to prolong the life of my trans first? or do i accept it will blow and just wait til it goes to get an ats or dtt?

My transmission was abused with an EZ, DD2's and an HX35 turbo at 40k miles. When it started to slip, you can tell is, I pulled and sold said mods. With RV275's as replacement I put another 40k on it with the line pressure turned up. I have again fallen ill with the bomb bug and added Marcos Catcher ECM. My transmission is on its last legs now. If you do the comp and pierce the pump wire you will push the limits of reliability. The big difference you will see if you go the trans bomb first will show in power transfer. It's all in fun if you can pay to play!

Just save up the Money. And call DTT 1 866 504 4002 That way you can feel the power that the EDGE comp makes and put it to the tires. The stock TC will not last long and 3rd gear will be right behind it.

how do i increase the line pressure? is there a different valve body or is it simpler than that? i don't know a whole lot about automatic trans's...



the "ranch" isn't exactly a ranch... we run 2200 acres of grain in central NJ (yes thats New Jersey) a whole lot of small peices that combine to make a living off of
