I totally agree with what you're saying. I remember when I was stock and driving around town always "on boost". Now, with the SPS66 under the same conditions the boost reading on the gauge is almost negligible sometimes, yet because of all the fuel being dumped in the boost registers quickly, but not at the same rpms as stock. With stock we're starting at 10 and going to 25 psi, whereas modified we're starting at 2 and going to 40 psi at x000 rpm! Heck I was a passenger in a stock '05 a couple of weeks ago and that set me back in my seat when the driver was whipping the truck around in traffic!

I don't believe I get the weird stuff going on at 2100 rpm though if I turn the Juice off or put my Van Aaken, but then again I haven't really noticed it until I towed.

My quick proof reading of that post was fine until you quoted it. Someday I'll learn to slow down and proof read so I don't look like and idiot.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I've learned a lot from this thread.

So, basically what I conclude is that I really have no reason to get anything less than either a sps66 or sp66?? It will still be fine to drive under normal conditions with the TST only on 2/2, or atleast no worse then a HTB2??

Having never tried anything bigger than the 64mm from HTT I can't verify that for you Coolslice but with the upgrade program that HTT offers I don't see how you can go really wrong with the HTB2 either. What I've posted here are just my observations from what I've had first hand experience with. Best of luck with your descision.

Anyhow, realistically my intended truck usage sounds just like yours. Did I NEED an SPS66? Probably not since the HTB2 62/14 was more than enough for my needs 90% of the time since I don't sled pull or drag race. However, in my case, I just WANTED something for the remaining 10% of the time just in case! :D

Coolslice -

The above should sum things up. Any 62 mm turbo like B1-04, Super B (??), HTB2, or PS 62 should work well for you. Like SRadke said, HTT has an awesome upgrade program should you outgrow your turbo. I would imagine that Industrial Injection does also just based on what I saw when I visited there, although they don't explicity advertise this as compared to how HTT does on their website. I have been a customer of both HTT and Industrial Injection and I would recommend them to anyone for service etc. I have no experience with the B1 or BD line, but others have reported good stuff too. Good luck!
