I got a really stupid question for you VE pros: I replaced some of the upper rear seals in my pump a couple years ago due to a leak from the new ULSD. I don't think I tore into the very front part of the pump. I remember leaving the throttle shaft in and such. Anyway, now I have a leak (drip every 5 seconds at idle) from the lockscrew at the front side of the pump. This is the 10mm bolt that has the spanner washer you remove when you want to lock the pump by tightening the bolt sans washer. Does a drip here make sense? I'm assuming I can clean the area and completely remove/reseal the bolt with everything in the truck? This is where I need help. I do have lots of extra O-rings left in the Bosch bag. HELP!

There is one and only one O ring in that kit which will fit that bolt. It will have to be exact. You can do this one on the truck. Most of the others, you will need to set it on the bench.

Thanks so much Mr. Leaf! I wanted an expert to comment before I went wrenching. I will carefully match and replace this one.
Thanks!
