HOWDY,,,

I've been looking at differant types of wheels,,,I haven't decided just yet, but Like the HUMMER OPTIONS,,,but aren't there only a FEW TIRE OPTIONS in the 17",,and pricey from what i've seen!!?

I tried the www.vfrtruckaccessories.com site but can't seem to get it to show any thing after I got there???

One more question,,I was TOLD that the 2000-2002 alum wheels will NOT FIT 98's with out turning down the brake drums and steering componentes??,,,, Does ANY ONE KNOW FOR SURE??

THANKS

Mike In Maine

P. S. ,,, Any one that has ALREADY worked the HUMMERS what to sell,,,,,,,, :D

Mike,

I know this is not the definitive answer you are seeking, but I KNOW FOR SURE that the 2000 year aluminum wheels will not fit over the brake drums of my 1995 truck that came with the chrome steel wheels.

You don't have to take much off, about 0. 1 inch or so. but it's an expense and trouble. I haven't done it to my truck.

I've been looking at a good wheel option also. By far the best deal I found for a great looking wheel were American Eagles. Also you save a ton going to 16" and you can stay with Load Range E for heavy hauling/towing. They (Eagles) have a wheel relatively similar to the 20" style you see on a lot of the Hemi's except instead of 5 or 6 spokes there are 8. Also they are brighter. They're on their website. I priced them at a local GoodYear store here in St. Louis and he could sell the for $150 ea. Good price,... . I think for 16X10"!
