I am currently on last legs of a 6000 mile trip. Had the AS flash before I left. Also installed Edge Insight to keep track of re-gen. Pulling 8k 5er, 70 mph, on interstate. Kept record of every re-gen. On interstate, I would go 190-200 miles between re-gens.
on local highways, slower speed, 140 miles average. With no trailer, in Yellowstone, 25-45 mph, 30-40 miles between re-gens. Ehaust brake always on. (Loved the exhaust brake in the mountains, wife says its worth the price of the truck... ) 20K on truck, no problems at all, never seen a code. mpg improving w/ more miles. I told my wife that the intown trips will now be made in her van, if possible. I can't see how purchasing 150-200 more gal of fuel a year, can be a good replacement for less soot!!
