ok, I'm really embarrassed about this but, in 2000 dodge didn't make the sprinter so I had to buy my wife a ford with the powerstroke. I want to put an exhaust brake and I've found a couple of companies that make a plug in that controls the valve on the back of the turbo which in cold weather opens and closes to warm up faster. So some genious figured out how to make it work whenever you come off the pedal, instant exhaust brake.

just wondering if anyone heard of this, what they think, or where I can find some knowledge about this. Thanks Bill

Seems I heard when this scheme first hit the scene that there were problems created by it's use - maybe thats been corrected since then?

It will never give you quite the same effect or brake hp that a real exh brake will. . the best combination I have ever installed is a bd brake and a torque lock... I know lotsa people are not torque lock fans but it seems to be good to go on the psd this is just my oppinion from a man that has installed every brake on a psd incl the usgear
