I am installing my Fuel Pressure gauge and am wondering if i use 100% or a 50/50 mix in the isolater?

Do i need to fill the tube also or just isolater cavity?

THANKS

I'm using 50/50 between the isolator and the gauge. Purging the entire feedline of air is a bit of a trick. Most manufacturers want you to get as much air out of the line as possible. In theory you want the same expansion/contraction coefficient in the feed line going to the gauge.

Are you using the floral carbon diaphragm style isolator?

I don't think it matters as long as you have fluid that won't freeze. It's just there to cause a hydraulic effect.

From what I have been told is that you want the isolator facing up/down not on an angle or sideways when mounted.

I have learned through trial and error how to fill this easily.

Nearly fill a small bottle (water bottle works well) with the antifreeze and hang it by the gauge (mine is a pod mount) with tie wraps or some other secure method. I tie-wrapped mine to the visor.

After you have your tube snaked thru the dash and firewall stick the end into your hanging bottle.

Have all your fitting installed and ready to tighten.

Now under your hood give the tube a quick siphon (aka-suck), the fluid will then gravity feed and push all the air out.

As its dripping and all the air is gone tighten it to the isolator.

Go back into the cab and remove the tube from the bottle and tighten the fitting to the gauge and you will be done with zero air in the line.

hope this helps as it worked well for me.

***also*** pour as much fluid into the isolator as possible before starting that way the won't be any air inside there... .
