I can not figure out an off/on failure in my ABS system. I hear a ticking sound in the dash and if I had my foot on the brake I'd feel a bouncey feedback that matches the ticks. When the ticks stop the ABS light and the red Brake like come on. ABS does not work again still a restart. Seems to work correctly when the truck is cool. I have replace rear sensor, check the wireing harness, we can not figure it out.

That ticking sound from the dash, is it coming from the center of dash down by the floor? That is were the ABS control module is located.

The ticking sound is intermittant and seems to be coming from behind the speedometer. It is not center on the floor. Of course it's hard to locate the source. But it seems to be related as it stops when the ABS light comes on.

I would check out your rear wheel speed sensor, it's located in top of your diff. If your light on the dash is also showing up that might be the problem, was on mine also had the clicking sound too.

Good luck
