Pull the cable connector out of the "brain" box that's behind the glove compartment.

Mine's been like that for a couple of years now... the brakes act normal in every test I've given them... . I just don't have to stare at the lights all the time anymore.

If that doesn't work, bypass the anti-lock valve above the rear axle. My brakes were spongy all the time, I had to replace a fuel tank strap, so I replaced the brake line to the back. When I did I by passed the valve, hooking the line direct to the axle hose. Of course I had to replace the hose and both wheel lines also (rust central). If you do this you have to unplug the brain box, or the lites will stay on. The best thing I ever did to the brakes, pedal is firm and the truck stops awesome. Thanks James!

Is that all that box and plug are for behind the glove box. Sure is a lot of pins on that plug. I thought it might do the whole warning light panel including the heater stips.

Is it strickly for the anti-lock?

I also bypassed the antilock valve . used a tubing bender and a couple fittings and brake line stock from napa. . brakes work MUCH better. I disconnected the antilock box as well. . truck is much safer now in my book... .
