2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Anti theft switch from TDR

Can anyone desribe to me the anti-theft switch from issue 32 (I think) of the TDR? Car theft is very popular here in CA, and I dropped my collision/theft coverage after paying off my truck... plus today some dirt bag third-world type sent his kid up to my front door to ask if my truck was for sale. . ?!?!? (they went to several other homes in my neighborhood asking if peoples trucks were for sale, cops said that that was there M. O. when trolling for possible scores... (there is no sign or any other indication which would lead anyone to believe my truck is for sale)
