Smelling antifreeze I'n cab when I run the heater my question is where is the antifreeze going ? It's not on the floor and it's not outside the cab in the engine bay or on the ground .
Could be that your heater core is beginning to leak or just mist a little bit. If the leak is more serious, I would expect to see coolant on the front passenger floor under the carpet. If you find that you need a new heater core, since the job is a huge undertaking, it's recommended to change out the A/C components in there as well.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but this is how it went with my 2001......started smelling coolant every so often. After awhile, it started dripping out of the hvac box drain under the hood, on the firewall. Mine never leaked in the cab, just out the drain.
