Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) antifreeze loss found!

i took the advice of some that replied to my initial post, well i got on the truck real hard all the way home from **ICEMAN**'s house, stopped at my house and found antifreeze everywhere on the passenger side of the engine. upon further inspection it is blowing out of the overflow bottle somewhere, i will pinpoint it this coming week on my spring break. i looked under the BHAF and saw that it was wet as well, so at least it isnt the head gasket, big relief, thanks to all that posted and gave ideas

When mine was blowing out the overflow bottle it was because of a head gasket leak. The leak was over pressurizing the cooling system.

Mine does the same thing now on about the 6th hard run, a . 020 gasket and an O-Ring will cure it.

Mine did the same thing, blowing AF around out the overflow bottle-so I went out and stood on it.





I came back in, and then I had OIL in my overflow bottle.

That narrowed it down a bit. :{

Yet another dern GOOD reason to NOT go any further with my mods - I *really* don't ever wanna have to open that engine up if I can avoid it - reasonable power/performance combined with durability can be a real balancing act...

i havent seen any oil, bu ti have stopped using my block heater and i havent noticed any more loss of antifreeze, but i did look at the overflow bottle today and saw that it has a vent hole at the top of it. i beleive that some jsut splashed out when i was raggin on it the other day, i havent seen any more over the engine or intake.

When head gasket on my truck went it blew oil into coolant and out overflow bottle and all over passenger side of engine. WHAT A MESS!
