can someone tell me how to turn off the antilock and brake light short of removing the bulbs? this is a 92 w/rwal. I have replaced the speed sencor in rear end. didn't help. I replaced the body controller. (behind the glove compartment door). didn't help. so I replaced the antilockvalve on the frame on drivers side toward the back. still the lights stay on.

the body controller was a wrecking yard item so it might have had the same problem. don't know. I'm tired of throwing good money after bad. I would appreciate any help you experts can give me. thank you

I unplugged the module behind the glove compartment.

That was 3 years ago. I haven't noticed any difference in braking power.

thanks for the info. I think we had a bad body controller. and replaced it with one with the same problem. I didn't want to get the customer a new one($300 plus) so I unplugged the wires from it for now. thanks

antilock

I have been off the site for several months and won't be checking very often but just tonight saw this post. The antilock brake system is not much on these trucks and in fact mine have all been completely done away with. Much better brakes that way. Couple of years back there are post by me and others on this. Check the archives.

To just turn off the light all you need do is unplug the computer behind the glove box. . I wrote quite a bit on the subject some time back... look at my past posts for more

Under the dask behing the glove box is the brake controller. there is a plastic plug on a wire. if you short the clip in the plug to ground it will start the anti brake light to flash. Count the flashes starting and including the long flash. , this will give you the code to deturmine why the light is on. the module only storers one code at a time. Disconect the battery to clear the code.

Check this site for Kelsey Hayes Codes. </title></head>"); newWindow. document. writeln("<body><div align='center'>[URL=https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=as_li_ss_tl?url=search-alias=automotive&field-keywords=antilock+brake+light+&linkCode=ll2&tag=|antilock brake light]/images/cds/#ad

I went thru exactly the same thing with my 93. If you want to "fix" it let me know off line and I will explain how I perminately fixed mind and got a spare RWAL control module out of the deal

I know this is a very old thread, but I really need some help.I had my local garage bypass the rwal and even provided them with the fittings to join them together so in the future I could hook it back up if that was not the problem. My garage charge me a bunch of money and still never did what I asked. Now I have to figure out which is the in and which is the out, because they have lost me and won't get another dime out of me.I went back to them to find out, they put it up on the hoist and said ,I think it's that one. (pointing to the smaller fitting as being the in from the portioning valve). Can anybody confirm this, I know a lot have taken them out.The line was rusted thats why it was replaced, but as I said they didn't do as I asked.1993 w250 clubcab
