Childhood eating habits,

For those who might be antique engine buffs, I ran across a video of one of the largest of the old horizontal gas engines. The engine/compressor units shown in the video link below are Cooper-Bessemer Type 26 units in pipeline natural gas compression service in Louisiana.

My late father helped maintain these in the Texas Panhandle pumping natural gas in the mid-1930s when he was between semesters at the U of Michigan.

Too bad you're all so far away. The Coolspring Power Museum has hundreds of antique engines, including a 1917 Snow engine-compressor that sits on a 600 cubic yard foundation. It's absolutely amazing what was made before the days of computers, CAD, and machining centers.
