Tongue Weight and Truck Sag

Guys Ive been shearching this forum & the net for e rated tires in 315 or 35" x16 size for my truck for hours now. No luck yet. I just bought a 5er & want to be safer than a D. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks--Proflow

None that I am aware of. Think E's top out at 285 in 16".

E rated tires have stiffer sidewalls and run at higher PSI, however the weight rating between D and E's is about the same. Does that make them safer? Not IMO.

Toyo makes one. It's the Open Country that is E rated. They wear very well also. I have the 35's which would be 315's and love them.

I came across the Firestone Destination in a 305/70/16 & noticed it had a really good review. I wonder how much smaller in girth that is from a 315/75. I may check those out. I like the town & countrys but too pricy for now.

305 are about 33's. The Open Countrys are pricey but they will last twice as long as most other tires. I have over 25k on mine and they are less than 1/2 gone. I'm sure I will get at least another 20k out of them if not more. Most AT or MT tires only seem to last 20k or so. You really get your money out of the Open Countrys.

ok so I decided to check on my wheels & see what they were rated at. Only 2100 ea. Thats a no go for a 5er I would guess. I dont even think theyre good enough for the front of my truck. They are the 16x10 rockcrushers. Bummer is I just bought them about 6 mo. ago. Im now possibly looking into maybe a 17 or so x8 or 9 . More unexpected money spent , but I know ya gotta pay to play. Still searching. Thanks guys--Proflow

Super Swamper SSR's come in E rated tires and about any larger size you want. I ran them on my last truck and they were great. They are quiet (for an MT) and siped so they get excellent wet traction. Anyhow, check them out, I had 37x12. 50R16. 5 and they were 3900Lbs at 65 PSI. Scotty

Ok, so now that both wheels & tires are going to be replaced, I may go to the Rickson 19. 5s. So its been awhile since Ive been on this forrum . Did the classifieds go away or am I blind ? Hoping to have some luck in there for used. Or maybe not. Thanks all--Proflow
