I was just gonna say the same thing as stated above :-laf

It's very close to #1 diesel minus dyes and additives. It will work, however I'd blend it with a lubricity additive of some sort or maybe a little bit of bio.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to use #2? Jet fuel is really expensive,,, isn't it??? LOL

Most people running it get it for free,I have a friend of a friend that is involved with helicopter testing. the tank(s) get drained and that fuel can not be used again in the chopper

As I understand it, that's where Stanadyne came from. Developed so the military could use the same fuel in all vehicles. Don't know about using it in a 6. 7, though.

Interesting. It's funny, when I used to work at the general aviation airport, they would have to repair the wing tanks occasionally and we all got the benifit for 100 octane low lead fuel. At the time I had a VW Van. Boy did that think like Aviation gas. LOL
I guess that would be the same situation. ")

It is actually a lot cheaper than #2 diesel. I buy it in transport loads (7500gls) for use in my Ag plane. Last load was around $3. 00 i blow through 30000 gals a year so I have it readily available. I would think a good dose of Lucas or marvel or something would lube it up real good. I ran it quite a lot in my '02 but always mixed with normal diesel and added something.
