Rush's inconsistancies for MGM

The COOLEST sound

Any of you guys or gals ride ATVs? I have two Polaris quads, a 500 4x4 Magnum and a new 500 HO 4x4 Sportsman X. I was wanting to know if any of you new of some new cool places to ride. I'm wanting to plan a trip this summer with a couple of buddies and need some ideas on were to go. I have been told that Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky is a really good place to go. But I'm still open to other places if you all know of any. I would like to go some were that I can camp and ride at the same place.

Thanks and happy trails

I use to have a couple that I bought back when the four wheelers began showing on the market. We live in Washingtons state and the US Government owns most of the land, and we use to go back in the mountains and ride the logging and fire roads. Some times we could ride for days and never see another soul. Discovered sand dunes in an area where no one frequented.

A few years ago the government began closing all the Forest Service roads to all vehicles and ATV's in particular, so we sold ours. I don't know if they still have the restrictions on them or not. Sure would like to revisit the old days when there wern't very many ATV's around. Now it seems everyone has them.

If you want some good riding you might want to try Idaho and Montana. I think a lot of the stste lands there are still open.

Good luck and have safe fun.

I have one. Thinking about another this fall. The one I have now is a Honda 300 2wd. Planning on a Kawasaki 650 4wd for the next one. I use them to go to the deer blind from the camp. I use it to ride and check fences at the farm, especially after a heavy rain to check water gaps that may have washed out. Saves me a lot of steps while at the farm.

Alabama the beautiful

In 1999 we went to Kentuk ORV trails in the Talladega National Forest. There are 4 different trails, from easy to near death traps.

Do a search on Talladega National forest.

Kentuk ORV trail was a BLAST. But they only have Primitive camping with one outhouse.

I have a Yamaha Raptor 660 quad, my friends and I take our quads to the Little Sahara State Park in Western Oklahoma to ride the dunes. There are 1600-1700 acres of sand dunes to ride there, from trails to big dunes. If you want, you can check out my website at www.i-Morphious.com/interests.htm

We have a blast everytime we go there, there are quite a few camping spots, but on busy weekend camping spots are pretty scarce, best to get there on a weekday. Also you can check our the website for the little sahara by doing a search for little sahara and the town name of wynoka.

Happy Trails.....

Hey you guys, have fun, but keep in mind there are private property owners that don't appreciate the extra traffic.

If you don't know for sure, KEEP OUT.

Can you tell we have had some problems with ATVs?

Not like that

MGM, I know what you are talking about. We ride are 4Wheeler on our own property and constantly I have to run people off. I had a kid that just moved in down the road come up and chase the cows one day, I called his parents and told them and they started cussing me out for desturbing their dinner. :-{} but the damn punk kid didn't mined disturbing 50 head of cattle and tearing up my fence. #@$%!. I let it go with that one phone call and come home from work about a week later to see that little green 4Wheeler buzzing out of the bottom of one of my barns. Went back and checked the trails and found them all tore to he11:eek: So I took it apoun myself to plant a few reebar spikes in strategic locations, the next day I come home and had a bright green Kawisaki 4wheeler in my feild with two flat tires. :D Called the cops and they came and got it and went to the boys house and told his parent they could pick it up at the impound yard for a fee of $250:( Haven't seen that little green 4Wheeler in a mounth or so now. :D. It is little punks like this kid that give the rest of us ATVers a bad name. I and my buddies that ride all only ride on apoved land and never go where we aren't welcome.

I ride a Honda 400 EX and my one daughter rides a Suzuki LT 80. We do all of our riding at Tower City,Pa. Over 12,000 acres of legal riding. Everything from easy trails to suicidal hill climbs. It costs $175 a year to join for a family membership which in my opinion is a bargain . Around where I live there's a few places where people ride but its private property and nobody has permission. I'd rather drive 1 1/2 hrs to ride at Tower City than to risk getting caught on private land. Plus i dont feel right about trespassing. If any other TDR members are interested in riding Tower City drop me a line and I can take you up for the day on a guest pass for $20. Tower City

Cliff, I had not heard, but it was getting out of hand.

I have over 3 miles of trails on our place, and there is always somebody that thinks it is playground.

Through the corn, tear up trails, vandalize campers, picnic shelters, leave beer cans, trash my boat etc. ---and those are the neighbors.

Big City people buy an acre lot, and think they own the countryside, go figure.

Hey in colorado there is a place called Taylor Resivour. Atv's are allowed to ride on the roads to get to the trails. They have cabins right there at the lake so you can put on your riding gear and get straight on your atv and hit the trails. I cant remember how big it is but IT IS BIG! WE ride about 60 miles a day and dont ride the same trail twice, unless its to get to another trail.

I currently ride a 96 blaster, not too much longer though, I am looking at the polaris trail blazer and the 325 trail boss (they are priced similar) I am leaning more towards the 325 right now though because it's a 4 stroke...

Keep on riding whenever possible, and respect your neighbors and landowners. New neighbors unpacked silencer and 10pm rides brought the sherriff to the neighbors house for noise from a stock Blaster and 50 riding at noon on a saturday. Never a problem in 3 prior years of riding... ... The few ruin it for the many!
