Man, this big hog of a truck isn't happy unless its trying to steer left. What's the deal? I thought?? I saw a thread earlier in the year about shims on the brakes or something like that causing pulling problems.

I have 19,000 miles, rotated tires 4 times and had the front end re-aligned. Nothing changes. Any suggestions?

Chad,sounds like the infamous trackbar,easy enough to check. Have someone steer the truck back and forth while you look for play,usually on the drivers side ball joint. Good luck

Search the forums looking for alignment. There was a post a month or so ago about this from someone who seemed to know what he was talking about and gave the correct alignment procedures and specs. If your track bar is ok, then you may need the real specs. The official ones are not good enuff so a front end that is "within specs" may still not be right.

Chad shims are used on some 4x4s that went left or right during hard braking, but not hard enough for ABS to take over. I believe 94 and 95 TSB in issue 14 on this. Dodge did put a shim on right front wheel for brake pull problems to the right on my 96(warranty work).
My truck started pulling hard right going down the road about 6 months ago. Going to check brakes. Then go from there.

My truck used to drift to the right and after installing new tires and wheels it now pulls hard to the left rotated tires and had front end rechecked with out any differance so I hope someone can come up with the fix as it is annoying to drive like it is.

I think you're wasting your time if you're going to the dealer to get it checked. My 95 pulled to the right BAD. I took it to a guy I trust at a front end place and left it to get fixed. The guy told me that, basically, on the machine everything checked out ok. So then he drove it, "Man," he said, "that thing really pulled to the right!" #ad
So then he put it back on the rack and started cranking around and adjusting stuff until he got the pull out of it. When I picked it up, tracked perfectly #ad
Now, you and I both know the dealer would have put it on the machine, and if everything showed to be "in spec. " would have rolled it back off the machine and said, "There's nothing wrong. "
 
I see what you mean about the specs. It sounds like I need to take it back to the alignment guru and explain the pulling problem with greater detail and throw in some of the knowledge you guys just equiped me with and see what we can come up with. Thanks for the help!
