2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Any "Darin's Steering Box Fix Bracket" Reports ??

we'll... I picked up mine on Monday. . did have a moment to put it on till today. .



I have a 01. 5 with a little over 75K miles. . it has always wondered all over the road and required constant correction to go straight down the road... I live in the mountains and drive very twisty and narrow roads... . in the turns this rig always needed a slight back and forth wheel movement to stay in lane or correct the turn . .



well I test drove a few miles [more and longer runs will be reported back after a trip or two]... anyway the brace corrects the wheel movement almost totally to a hands off in the straights with no wonder [never been able to do that for more than a second and then re-correct the wheel]... in the turns point where ya want to go and guess what it goes there without a bunch or corrections during the turn... WOW



to say I'm excited is a HUGE understatement... hope this is not an illusion that will go away after a short time. . but as of now all I can say is a great big thanks to Darin and Marv for an excellent product. !!

this is exiting... I hate the pinball action going down the road... like your bounceing off the lines! cant take your eyes off the road for a spit second or. . well you all know what I mean!! I will be buying one. wonder how much the loose steering box adds to the death wobble ??

Jim. . sorry [better said Glad] can't report on the wobble, thank God never had it,nd if I did that rig would have been sold . . I'll deal with some things but total loss of steering isn't one of them... in this state lemon law applies and I would have used it . .

Just drove it again took wife to dinner about 20 min. drive via the same mountain roads... VERY IMPRESSED with the improvement.

Seems like the biggest improvement is to the 4x4 herders?



Wonder if the improvement is anywhere near as dramatic to the 2x4 owners?
