I utilize an Amsoil "Oiled Foam" filter as well. This Modification give me better "air flow" as well as better filtration.

that's what i've been lookin' for amsoilman ...

amsoilman ... perfect! ... . no change other than adding a 4" pvc elbow completely corrected the problem ... . with the same filter on the same day easy driving could pull down the filter minder to 65% ... . with the elbow it stays at 0% after multiple (3 to be exact) 0-100 uphill runs
