I have heard about and viewed pics of the Skyjacker Adjustable trackbar. Guess it just came on the market in late 2002.

Several TDR members in different threads (including myself) have asked if anybody has installed this product and can give a first hand report on how it is working. They never got a response so I figured I'd start a thread on the topic hoping to get more exposure.

I guess it goes for just about $200 - $210 so the savings over the DT is significant. But it has to be good to be a viable alternative.

Anyone know if it comes with a lifetime warranty either? If it wears out in 10K miles, are replacement parts cheaper than the whole bar (like the DT?)

Anyone?

Their website says it's for 4" to 7" lifts. Don't know if it fits stock or leveling spring equipped trucks. Probably not. Can't find anything else on it.

Bummer...

Just got it from the horses mouth...

Called Skyjacker. Should have done that to begin with. Here's what they said.

The only adjustable trackbar they have is for the 4-7 lift as Hemi said above. They said anything less than 4 inches of lift, the trackbar won't work because there isn't enough room for the bracket without rubbing or smacking things together. He said when it first came out there was speculation it might work for 2. 5, but further testing indicated it won't fit.

So there is no other alternative trackbar other than the DT for guys with the 2. 5 inch lift (or less)... me included.

Thankfully, the DT has been proven to be good at what it does. Guess I'll be going with them when my budget recovers.

Thanks for doing the leg work CORed. Rocky Mountain Suspension has the Skyjacker T-bar listed for 2. 5" to 7" of lift. ? I believe the Skyjacker rep.

Darin of DSS has an adjustable T-bar in the works. I guess he is in the testing phase. Hopefully it will be done soon.

I wish this company below had a T-bar for the Dodge Ram. They do, sort/part of??? They need to offer a complete kit. Their stuff looks high quality.

I think your PM box is full, tried to send you another message. I did'nt bother checking into the SKJ trac bar any further because I got one already, you know what I mean. It's good that you checked though, that clears up some ?'s. I guess the sites I saw it on are advertising it wrong. Maybe they will figure it out. Good luck... ... Dwayne
