Banks High Ram......Power?

Rip's exhaust

I know that only a few had problems and they are being corrected. Has anyone heard how the other owners feel about theirs?

I post mine on the long thread on this turbo... I belive my message was between 85 and 100. .

I love the way it controls EGT's

It has been in for about 3,000 miles now and you couldn't pay me to take it out.

Could you provide some details other than you like it? Egt, boost numbers, etc? From your signature it looks like your truck is stock - why did you upgrade the turbo?

Diesel Dynamics offered to swap a Bell WSB for the damaged BB turbo. I decided to go ahead and swap. I had very poor luck with the USB, but this is a different turbo. It is a supposed to be a small turbo, but very durable. As a top turbo I was looking for flow at 20 to 30 psi. Other than that I hear it is skinny in the middle, bigger on the ends, and silver in color.

Thanks for the update Ron. So there is no fix for the BB turbo issues? I wonder if they will recall the BB turbos that are still running on trucks out there?

No they are not giving up. I was talking to keith at DD and he offered to trade me a WSB. They aren't exactly sure how much longer it is going to take. I believe they are doing alot of testing to make sure there are no more problems. I am looking for a secondary charger, so the WSB seemed like as good a place to start as any. I felt it was pretty good of them to offer it. I hope to do business with them again.

I got two big boxes from Diesel Dynamics today. Downpipe was in one box. Other box seemed pretty heavy for a small turbo, turned out to be twins! (a matched pair of WSB's. ) I guess in Las Vegas sometimes you can hit the jackpot without even going to the casino. I figured I better call to make sure it wasn't a mistake. Alas, it was. I will now have to cope with separation anxiety. Oh well. Really nice looking turbo.

If DD has Turbonetics slap in a T70 wheel and add a wastgate to it, I may just have to try one!!!

It just may surge like crazy!!!

Maybe you could just take a trip down there and fix them. I'm sure that Turbonetics would be happy to put someone with your experience and knowledge in charge of the project.

prolly not!!!!!

I dont have my degree! Well, at least not yet!

There ain't enough moolah to get me to quit school again and go back to work. I also would not want to get my hands tied with yet another Corporate Non-Disclosure Agreement!!!! I have signed too many of them as it is... . either with Uncle Sam, or the private sector
