Is anyone running either the ats or silverline dual exhaust kits? I would like it for the look, but am not certain what the performance or sound is like.

I have the Silverline dual exhaust and I love it. I opted to not use their muffler for that straight pipe sound. The only bit of manipulation was making sure the tips were identically positioned. I don't know if there was any performance issues, but I seriously doubt it on these engines.

Thanks for the info! I just wondered since you don't hear a lot about people running these systems. I still want that look! Thanks again

I was looking on Jannetty Racing web sight today at dual exhaust they say it is quieter than the single but boy don't it look

I'm running the ATS duel set up. There is no performance gain,I did it to equalize the smoke. Sound wise its deeper sounding than a single, my neighbors say there walls vibrate when I drive by (I'm real popular in my neighborhood). The only down side is you lose your spare tire under the truck.

On the duals I have seen in the adds they come strait out the back anyone know if there is a out the side close to stock location but on both sides.

I Have a custom dual setup I got through Rips. My tips come out behind the rear tires at an angle. I wanted them here because I didnt want my wife to have to keep cleaning the soot off the front of the trailer off;) I think what determines whether the spare has to be removed is long bed/ short bed. I ran mine through an "allied" truck muffler and then split it. It sounds good, plenty of sound still, but not obnoxious. Rip really took alot of time fabricating and cipherin' on this system as I believe it was one of his first "duals" on a shortbed. At one point he even talked to the installer right in the service bay, when the installer had a minor question!! Im sure Rip has all the bugs worked out by now. Dont forget to top it off with two stainless tips!

I have duals on my '02. I made the system myself with my headpipe and "y" splitter- ATS tailpipes, no muffler. They are close, but I still have my stock spare. They sound great and I have no drone.
