don't know if this will help,read somewhere about a fix with adjustable ball joint manufactored by stemph automotive industries. 93 w350 has always pulled to the right and fear for my 04 on order. hope this helps. first time to reply

the guy at shwab showed me these but said $350. 00 parts & labor. said good luck getting dodge to warranty it though.



one thing at a time. if caster dont fix,,, will try camber.

After 2" kit and 285's i had a vibration at 65 mph that Schwab couldnt fix. I went back to stock tires and its gone. I find that if i move the steering wheel quickly from left to right while stopped i hear what sounds like loose tie rods,kind of a pop,pop. Definite noise. I will see the dealer soon,any ideas on a pre-dealer fix for this?Thanks,Mark.

The pop pop could be the drag link bolt is loose. Hit it with a breaker bar and tighten it tight.

Did a little research today at work. Stemph adjustable ball joints are listed for 2000 & up dodge ram 4x4. These ball joints will not work in both dana and american axles. They will work in dana axles only. Northstar, which we buy products from told me the adjustable ball joints they sold for 03 and 04 trucks have been returned to them because they do not fit. However they do work with the older dana axles. Be careful if you buy Stemph adjustable ball joints... . they may not work in the 03 and 04 trucks. The guy at Stemph did not know if his ball joints would work or not.

Stemph tells me one of the ball joints they sell adjusts caster and camber... . however it may not work on 03 and 04. They also sell an adjusting ball joint for camber only(may not work on 03 and 04). Northstars ball joint was for camber only and will not work on 03 and 04.

well, took to schwab, guy says he's not going to hook it to alignment machine cuase caster adj. isn't going to fix. took to different shop , had caster adj. unfortunatly,, no diff. still pulls to right.



MGibbons, my rear axle is pointed towards the right side of the road, could i loosen u-bolts and pull on axle with a comalong & then re-tighten? you said to have . 75deg. lower on left but could'nt get that much.

said i have too much thrust angle? what is this? my rear end out of true?

Al,



You do have a thrust angle caused by the rear axle not being perfectly straight ahead. It is not severe by any means. You can loosen u-bolts and twist the right rear forwards and twist the left rear rearwards and this may help some. Did anyone check for a power steering pressure difference side to side?



Thrust angle shows how much the rear axle is pionting towards one side. . if out bad enough thrust angle can steer the truck from the rear, which will feel like a pull.

I too had the "pop" in the front end after installing the leveling kit and the 315's. I thought it was probably my fault, and after a visit to the dealer, my service tech determined it was a loose shock bolt. He said he has seen quite a bit of this! Anyway... . it took care of my problem... ... ... hope it helps!

I just put 35x12. 5x17 BFG Mud tires on and now I have a slight pull to the right. I previously had 315x70x17 BFG AT tires on and did not have a pull. Mine is not severe. If I get on the left side of a two lane road w/ much crown it will ease off to the left. However, it there isn't much crown, it will still go to the right. This is too much to suit me, so I will probably switch tires around to see if it corrects. Since the other tires didn't have this problem, I know that pulling can be caused by tires. I noticed it immedialtely after leaving the tire shop.
