A friend called today and said he hit something and broke or cracked the oil pan. He called his local "Freightliner" Center and they told hime the engine had to be removed to replace the pan. He's asking me if this is true and I would really like to give him the right answers. I have a 2001 4WD so I am not sure; but it seems odd to me that this would be the proceedure for a 2WD truck.
His is a 1994 RAM 2500 5. 9 CTD but 2-wheel drive. I am not close enough to him to look it over and won't be for a few days, so I am asking here because I KNOW I will get some answers here, and also the RIGHT answers.
Can anyone provide any info?????
Thanks,
Mombo
