I now run the . 020 over marine HG and wonder if I should change my injector protrusion. The machine shop only took like . 003 " off the head so the question is...
Is the prutrusion out of the head need to be maintained more importantly or
would the position of the tip to the piston at TDC be more important to maintain?
In the case of say milling allot off the head (like . 010)to comply with case 1 you would run a thicker washer to lift the injector up and keep the protrusion the same as stock spec.
in case 2 like me I wonder if I need a thinner washer to put the tip . 020 " back closer to the piston bowl like before the + . 020 HG or would that cause a problem with the extra protrusion or tip sticking down?
