RMTDR Schedule 2003 so far

Hi guys,

I just went to check out a dyno in Ft Collins, it will work for us!!! I talked to the operator for a little while and his only concern was that he would need some chains instead of straps to handle our trucks. The rollers are not wide enough for dually's but there is room for the outside tires to hang off the side if you are willing. The guy gave me a graph from a powerstroke to demonstrate what we would get from them.

So all I need to know is how many people would want to roll their trucks on it. This will probably be in late April or early May on a Saturday. I would like to see if we can get some events going here in northern CO and maybe even southern WY.

What say you guys??

Matt

Matt, If I aint working than I would love to come down... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... let me know a date and what else is going to be going on besides the dyno.

cheers, Kevin

Just called them, it is a

Dynojet 248 in-ground, dynoware e x plus hardware, wintouch 7 program.

I hope that makes sense to someone, because it sure doesn't to me??;)

Is this good or bad?

Matt

Dyno

I'm interested:D When?, Where in Ft Collins? I just did a bunch of work to my truck and would love to get on a dyno. Why does the guy want to use chains? Straps worked just fine when I was last on a Dynojet in Cheyenne, that shop is now closed:(

On edit: Just confirmed a buddy with a bombed Dodge is interested also.

I'd definately be interested in getting my truck up on the Dynojet. I've already had it on a mustang dyno.

Thanks for the info on the dyno. That's exactly what I was looking for. Any idea on what kind of price this guy is asking for runs?

Kev

I'm in too. I was hoping to get a baseline before I go nuts with the bolt ons. How much $$$ are we looking at for the dyno?

Sticks

The rate is $400 for 8 hours and then $75 an hour after that. They said to figure about twenty trucks for the 8 hours, which would only be twenty dollars each.

I need to get a rough head count of interested parties before I reserve a day.

He said he wanted to use chains just to be on the safe side with any high power trucks. I may have scared them when they asked me what our power range was, I said there won't be anyone over 2000 lbs. of torque, but probably a few over 1000. I don't have a clue what some members around here have so I thought I would make sure they could handle something pretty wild in case one shows up.

It seems to me that there is enough TDR members up north that we can have our own dyno day instead of traveling down to Castle Rock.

Thanks, and spread the word

Matt

I would be interested as well since I have some mods I am going to be doing and would like to find out what I will be at afterword, but it will be about a month or so away though.

I know this was mainly for the northern guys but next month Colorado Diesel is putting on a dyno day for the RMTDR Saturday April 5th in Castle Rock 20. 00 runs.

It looks like we are looking at about 7 or 8 so far. I am going to go ahead and reserve a date with them so it will be easier to commit or decline for those interested.

Barry, I was planning on coming to the dyno day in Castle Rock, but it is a long drive from up here. I've heard some negative feedback from some ford guys on that dyno, but I have never been there personally, it would be interesting to have someone from Denver go to that one and then come to this dyno and see how similar the results are.

Matt

Matt,

If you end up reserving at day, can you please let me know what Dates you are looking at? Being that I travel for work, I want to be sure to double check my schedule.

Thanks

Kev

I'd be interested. I'm stock for now, but would like to have a baseline. I can confirm what R. Ebel said, I personally saw his truck turn well over 500 hp with just straps. Well I saw it when he started but we had to evacuate the building due to the entire place getting a good coat of soot!:D Even the frod guys were impressed.

Kev, if you come down, you better bring the Mrs. and stay with us!!

Doh!, just remembered if it's the weekend of April 26,27 I'm out of town, goin to Vegas.

Let us know dates soon!

Matt:

Let me know what you get setup. I have run on the Colorado Diesel Dyno before and will again next month. I have the same setup as before. I am curious about a second run because my first time seemed somewhat high for stock my second run that day was with an ez installed and it seemed about right. So if I can make it up there on the day you get set I will be there and will bring my sheets from the previous runs for comparisions. Let me know what you get setup.

Thanks for the offer. We'll see how the dates go. I live about 45 minutes outside of Ft. Collins and about an Hour away from Wy Border. So travelling up that way is no issue at all. :D

I need to get another base figure for my truck with the new [censored] on it, and also I need a figure for the wifes 2001 so that we can start fixing it up. It needs a new DTT transmission, injectors and a box in a major way.

tpcdrafting - Vegas eh? I fly out to Vegas next week for the IWE conference and will be there for 2 weeks. I'll let you know how the weather is.

I will also be on a 2 week trip to Texas in April, not sure of the dates yet.

Kev-Arts, Sorry for not being more specific. I had forgotten your name was Kevin also! You're closer to FC than I am, but I was thinking of our friend Kevin "Whitmore" who lives about 4 hours north of here. Above he expressed some interest in coming down. Last time we were up his way he bought us breakfast and I owe him one!!

We're likely driving to Vegas (airplane tix are $300 each and by time I drive 2 hours to DIA and wait 2 hours to take off, and I don't like flying TWA (Travel With Arabs) and the DELTA (Dont Even Let Them Aboard) are more $$ than I want to spend. Two words: Road Trip! We're going out for a wedding, staying at Bally's (Not my choice, but it'll do)

Anyway, I hope I can make it down.

I bet I could hussle up a few others to bring rigs to the dyno day as well. Even a Duralax!

No prob. . I thought that was a little strange, being that I'm no more then an hour out.

That would be too cool if whitmore could make it, it's always good to meet new people

Kev

I'm interested, hopefully my truck will still be running!

I know of at least one maybe 4 or 5 other guys with CTDs that would be interested!

I may be interested also as I plan on going to the Colorado Diesel Dyno day. I'm changing a few things on my truck and it will be interesting to see what it will do and also compare the 2 different dyno's.
